Hey all,

So it has been a fair while since my last post.  I'll admit, I've been busy.  Nothing extraordinary, but nevertheless busy.  This past weekend I spent the better part of the weekend working on http://www.hatrickwah.com and http://www.keweenawbrewing.com.  In the end, Hatrickwah received a major face lift with more information and photos.  Meanwhile, KBC received a relatively simple update, including the requested beer-o-meter that my dad requested as well as a few other touches.  The big new though is that Katie and I will be heading to Houghton for our friends wedding as well as some good cruisin' time on the boat.  That latest though, I spent the day running a skidsteer (better known as a bobcat) on BLP grounds.  We will be receiving steel storage units in the next few weeks/days and the property as it was, was entirely messed up.  Now it is nice and level, and the forklift doesn't beat me up as I drive it.  I'll upload video later, showing off what was done, until then, later.

Another week has past.  Not to much has been happening here in Rock Springs though.  Work was quiet, too quiet in fact, and Katie was off for the week.  We managed to meet up with our realtor on Friday and check out the latest work on the house.  We're certainly excited now, the cabinets and counters are in.  The sinks, faucets, and tile is all in.  The remaining steps are for the builder to clean up their mess, dust, install lighting and carpet.  (And maybe a door or two).  We found out what appliances we are getting finally (or at least the important one).  The stove top is all gas, gas stove, gas convection oven, and even a gas warming drawer. This is the only certainty at the moment, since if you look at the picture of the appliances in the garage, I pulled the range info from the product number on the side of the box.

Meanwhile, yesterday was the start of the home and garden show at the events center here in Rock Springs, so we will be checking that out this afternoon.  I finally received my repaired Xbox on Thursday, so far it is working pretty well.  We were a little nervous the first few minutes though, when we turned it on for the first time, there was a nasty buzzing noise coming from the fans.  That has since gone however, and all seems to be working well.  Just wish I had a bigger TV to watch :-).

Hey all, we can knock off one more step in the process of buying our new home.  Yesterday we wrote a check for the deposit on our "upgrades" to our home.  Our new home will have gorgeous cherry cabinets with fancy hardware, and upgraded appliances with a gas stove top.  Other than those upgrades, I'll be "upgrading" anything else my self.  First project we hope will be our floor on the main floor.  We plan to put bamboo hard word floors in at least the kitchen and entry way, perhaps even the entire main floor.  It will get interesting for sure.

Meanwhile, work for both of us is beginning to pick up.  We both are busy finally, Katie has been back and forth to the field three times this week, and she still has another week to go.  Myself, I spent the entirety of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on the phone answer sales calls and tracking shipments.  Thursday finally cooled off, and Friday I might as well have taken a nap.  At this point now, we are looking forward to moving out of our rental, meanwhile, our landlord has begun searching for a new tenant.  Hope he realizes we won't be moving out until May 28.  Our new home doesn't even have a kitchen yet.

It has been an interesting week here, Shell Oil recently enacted new lifting regulations for all their service companies.  The worst part about it all, the companies didn't plan ahead and therefore keep placing rush orders.  Houston is getting a little annoyed with us here, but you can't do anything about the customer.  We gave them plenty of warning and so did Shell, if the customer chooses to wait until the last minute, then they are going to wait. Either way its good money for all parties.
